How's this for irony? I don't like Robotech. I prefer Macross and Mospeada recognized as the separate entities they are. And yet... the Legioss is such an obvious Valkyrie clone that I just couldn't resist doing this.

No infringement implied nor intended upon the copyrights & trademarks of Macross, Mospeada, Robotech, nor Palladium RPGs.

While I do like the addition of the head lasers to the Legioss as well as the deletion of the magazine for the beam rifle, I have to question WHY you thought to mount it beneath the fighter? This would inhibit transformation to either Armo-Diver forms (GERWALK-like and reentry). Just wonderin...

Thanks for the compliments and commentary. As for why I made the Gunpod underslung, it just seemed natural. How do you figure this positioning would interfere with the Armo-Diver/Gerwalk form?

Well, it looks like it would be attached to the inside of one of the legs when they slide back/down (at least that is how I read it). The arms would also have to pop out first to grab the gunpod before the legs folded down (they would be awkward for a grab afterwards). I also think the gunpod would probably block the VTOL thruster. There really is no way to mount anything but missiles on the undercarriage that I can see (like the 2x3-pack under the engines from line art and the Aoshima model that shows up in all of one scene in Mospeada/New Generation).

Still, I love the Battloid mode! The addition of the head lasers was ingenious.

Hmmm. I don't see the gun causing problems with the legs or arms, but you're right, it would indeed obstruct the VTOL thruster. I'll have to rethink that part. :-/
